Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone had any information about Solomon Winston Poe. I believe he was born in 1808, or somewhere around that time. I found a Solomon, but he was born later and it may have been Solomon's son. I know he had several children, one of who was Henry C. Poe and also a Braxton Poe. Solomon was married to a woman named Nancy or N.J. as the census says. He lived in Alabama, but was supposed to be from North or South Carolina? Was he a brother to a Jonathan? Any idea who his wife was, or his father? Or where he and Nancy got married? I think they lived for a time in Georgia? I have been looking through the Poe DNA Project information, but don't know what line I should be looking for.
Also, I read somewhere a while back in this posting place that there was a picture available of Simon Poe? Do you know where I can find it?
I have sent the information I have and copies of pictures to several people who post in this site, and have never received the information they have promised in return. Perhaps there is someone out there who won't mind helping me? Thanks! Charlie Richmond
