One known, one unknown connection

Hi Tom
I am wondering if you have any information that might fill in a couple of gaps for me. My family appears to be quite intermingled with the Poier's.
The known connection is my GG-grandaunt, Dorothy Speidel (b. 1863) who was married to Paul Poier (b. 1860) and they eventually moved to Saskatchewan. I don't know who Paul's parents are.
The second connection, which I am still trying to figure out, is through the Jacobi's of Osnabrock. This connection would actually be through marriage, but I'm hoping it might lead to more information. Somehow, Fred Jacobi's wife, Julia Berg, is related to a great-aunt of mine, Marie Berg, who was married to Jacob Haichert. The two women are possibly sisters. Fred's two sisters, Catherina and Mary, were both married to Poiers.
So, the information I would be very interested in, is regarding the family line of Paul Poier, and if you have any information on the Jacobi's, specifically Fred and his wife.

I forgot to mention that according to info I got from Tom you are my third cousin. My family background includes Graff and Poier.

According to information I got from Tom Poier you are my 'Third cousin once removed' I think. My ancestors were Graff and Poier.

My relatives (Graff family) are from Melville & Regina Saskatchewan area but were born & grew up in Grayson, Sask. I have been wanting to get in touch with some of my Poier relatives from Sask. as maybee they knew my mom's family (her grandmother was a Poier).

My great grandmother was Anna Poier born 1864 in Austria.

Hello Tom,
Crazy thing, I was on google doing a search for 'poier' and found this sight and I remembered that you had talked with my Grandpa Harold Poier awhile back and that you have a daughter that is about the same age is me...25yrs. Although I can't quite remember the connection between our families. I just wanted to say hi and I hope that the research is going well and that the family tree is growing, I know our branch is.

You have spoken with my Dad, Milton Poier in Saskatchewan Canada, and I thought I would get in touch with you to give you some info about my immediate family.
