Searching for information on Charles Adolphus Roux, Fort Wayne IN around 1880's. Brother Roux married in area, had daughter, Irene Roux, married Leo Poinsatte/Poinsette....he had liquor distributership for state(1946), possibly 5 state area...rum runner during prohibition from Canada to US. Also had distributership for Seven-up. Possible listing for them in 1922 directory (Leo J. (Irene) Poinsatte for 1026 Maumee Avenue, lathe opr W. Tank Co. Irene was cousin to my grandmother Lorretta Wayne Roux (Welsh). Also there was a listing for Leo J. Poinsette (1914)apparently single, who lived on 1016 Mauma Ave, bookkeeper, Eugenia M. and a Jacob(Magdalene) saloon, 1016 Maumee Ave. In the 1922 listing a Jenry J. Poinsatte (Poinsatte Auto Co.) bds 1016 Maumee Ave, and Jacob (Lena), soft drinks, 1016 Maumee Ave. So it appears the family changed their name from Poinsette to Poinsatte at some point. If anyone knows about any of these individuals, please contact me! Terry Spear of Crawford, Texas
