I have been trying to locate birth certificates and marriage certificates of my father's father and mother. They were from a small town in North Carolina and they want $15.00 just to search. It's not that I don't think I should pay but if you start paying everybody $15.00 here and there for every document you will soon amass quite an expense. This county wants the money wheather they find anything or not. Do any of you have any ideas as to a solution?
