Does anyone have any information on a Pollard/Fisher/Brown/Cherokee connection, possibly from the Culpeper Co., VA. area? My gr., gr. uncle Hugh Burdit Meeks claimed on his Guion Miller application his grandfather Robert Fisher Brown[b. 1759 Culpeper Co., VA.] was half Cherokee. I have noticed the Fisher line[which connects to the Pollard line also]has similar Cherokee connections in this area. The name of Robert Fisher Brown's mother was listed only as"Pollard". Eventually my Robert Fisher Brown ended up in Habersham & Banks co.'s GA., but may have spent time in NC. & SC. as well.

Robert Fisher Brown may have also went by Robin or George Robert Brown. Is anyone else researching the Pollards from VA., possibly the Culpeper Co. area? Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

Marshall
