I am trying to solve a puzzle. I have a postcard that was sent to my gg-grandfather in Milwaukee in 1906. It was postmarked in Westerland, Germany, and was sent by someone whose name appears to be Marie Thiesen. My gg-grandfather Fred Vanselow was born in Koerlin (now Karlino), Pomerania, quite a distance from Westerland. I have always wondered who this Frau Thiesen was and how she was acquainted with my ancestor. If you have any insight into this, please contact me. Thank you.
