I am seeking the parents of Martha Caroline ADAMS because I believe Martha was the sister of my John Quincy ADAMS (b.1833 Ala or ARK-d.1902 Sutton, Sonora, Texas). John Quincy ADAMS married Mary Anne SHEEN (dau. of John SHEEN & Mary DAVIES of Wales).

My great Aunt Lucy ADAMS WATKINS (dau. of John Q.) of Globe, Arizona wrote that Martha C. TOLER (Martha married Robert TOLER b. 1802 NC-d.1874 Union Parish, Louisana) was my John Q. ADAMS sister. She also had letters from Martha & Harrison Keele POOLE's daughter Dona POOL (b. 1854 Louisana-d.1909 Warren,Bradley,Arkansas). Aunt Lucy wrote that Martha & John Q.'s father was named Henry ADAMS (?) and that their mother _?_ md 2nd James H. SEWELL, Sr. from Ala or ARK. They had a son James H. SEWELL, Jr. (1846 ARK-killed by Indians 1872 Kimble Co., Texas, md Sarah GOSSETT and had a dau. Mary and a son John SEWELL).

Dona (some have Donna)POOL lived from 1870's until her death in Warren, Bradley Co., ARK. Dona POOLE was married in 1873 to Alexander Rutherford EVANS (d.1877, son of Emanuel Moffett EVANS and Mary HEAD) and had 2 daughters. In 1883 she married William DAILEY and had 4 more children.

Dona's brother Hardy Keele POOL (1856 LA-1948 ARK) md 1875 to Jeanette BRATTON and 1888 to Martha Mae HALL.
