Looking for ANY information on Matilda Hunt and George Poole, children Gertrude, Francis, Daisy, Frank (Cecil), Douglas, Gladys, Reginal and my Grandfather Wallace Edwin Poole. My grandfather was shipped to Canada via Barnardos and we know very little of why or what happened to the rest of the sibling that were left in England. I can find the family in the 1901 census and then on the 1911 census they are listed as inmates at the Loughborough workhouse and the father George is missing but I cannot find a military, death record or immigration record to explain why.
