I had been looking for John POOLER b. 1838 Maine/Canada and finally found this Lawrence POOLER in the 1850 census for Solon, Somerset, Maine with a son named John that fit...also...John's son John is middle initial "L" which could be for Lawrence. In the next two generations a son has a middle name "Lawrence". Coincidence? Or, am I making progress??

Has anyone this Lawrence and his wife Rose (Rosa) in their line somewhere?? This Lawrence has among his children a son named Lawrence b. 1841 Canada French. This son in 1900 is living in Madison, Somerset, Maine and states that the immigration year is 1846 which sort of helps because in some census years the son named John lists either Maine or Canada as a birthplace.

Thanks in advance
