Hi,

My Name is Aaron and I am looking for information on my Great Great Great Grandfather James Pope he was born around 1795 in either North Carolina or Virgina. North Carolina is the most possible from the research I have collected so far. He married Mary C. Spencer in Mecklenburg North Carolina on March 7 1821.

They had Three Children For sure and one other child I believe. Alexander Pope born in Tennessee in 1838 (My Gr. Gr Grandfather) LaFayette Pope, James Pope and Mary Alice Pope which is the not sure child.

They Eventually moved to Polk County Arkansas where James later died somewhere between 1850 and 1860.

This is all the information I have on them. I hope that someone out there will have more information for me. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
