I could really use someones help. My great grandmother;s name was Charlotte Port. Last name also sometimes spelled as Porte. With an e. We heard that either her or her parents came from Quebec Canada. The only problem is i can't find anything else on her. I have no idea what her parents names are. Expect there last name would be port of course. When she was born, where in canada they lived or anything else about her. Thoug i praobly won't be able to find or narrow down where shes from or even what tribe. But is there any Quebec indian tribe with the last name Port or Porte. Or a Port/Porte that has this as a well known indian name. Im guessing she was born around 1880s or 1890s. Any help would be greatly appericated. Thanks you!!!
