I have gotten back as far as my great-great grandfather...(William Porter). All that I know is that he was a slave and was sold in the county of Louisa, Virginia. He had a younger brother, but could not remember his name (he was sold also), but to a different owner. Before my great aunter passed four years ago, she told me that her grandfather often spoke of coming from the south of Louisa....there are alot of counties south of Louisa and I have no idea where to start. I do have when my great-great grandfather was born and died, but the information is at home.

I do know that we are decendents of (whites). We are very light skinned, with light to dark colored eyes. The plantation owner that purchased my great-great grandfather were the Hadens. From here I am completely lost and don't know where else to go.
