This is fantastic for all of us researching our Poter ancestry. I am looking for anything on Charles Porter B in Dayton, OH abt 1862, he married Viola Mae Shelton. They had 4 children, LLoyd died abt 2 yrs, William, Gertrude and Madge Elziabeth(my grandmother B 9/14/1884 Stweardson, IL)
Charles was found dead next to the railroad tracks in Stauton, Ill apprx 4 months prior to Madge's birth and believed to be buried in Worden, IL,in Macoupin Cty as a ward of the county. No one knows for sure. I have not been able to find anything on his parents, siblings, or even his other children.
If at all possible I would appreciate a copy of your information especially if it starts in England as this is where I was told his parents were born.
Thank you,
G L Houghton
