Seeking information about James PORTER (about 1804 - 1870 OH) married Sarah Jane (PORTER) PORTER (1809 MD - 1891 OH). They had 8 children all born in Belmont Co., OH. Reason, Mary Jane, William,
Eliza Ann, Catherine Elizabeth, John Anthony and Ross.
In 1870 census James & Sarah had 5 people living with them. Three of their children, a Mary PORTER (age 79 born about 1781 in NJ) mother of either James or Sarah. And Mary E. PORTER age 19 (born about 1841) I don't know how she is related, but not a daughter. In 1860 census Mary was living with a son John PORTER (born about 1819) & his wife Sarah (born about 1829).
