Hello,

My 3xgreat grandfather was John Alfred Porter born around 1794 in most probably Frederick Maryland. His father was Isaiah porter who married at least three times in Frederick, Maryland. The family (without John who remained in Frederick) moves to Washington DC for the 1820 census and is in Kentucky by 1821-1822. Isaiah's daughter Eliza born in 1802 marries a Hugh Asa in 1822 in Kentucky. She is probably John's full sister. Following the line through the census to the 1880 census it seems that Isaiah was born in Va. probably between 1770 and 1775 and he probably died in Kentucky between 1830 and 1840.

Does any one have any information on Isaiah's family from Virginia in the mid 1700s?
Thanks! Rachel
