I am looking for the parents of Nelson and Lyman Porter. Nelson was born about 1898 and Lyman was born, according to his death certificate, Nov. 1805, Easton/Weston, Connecticut. In analyzing the census records, 1800, 1810 and 1820 for Fairfield County, it appears that the father was possibly John Porter, born in the 1770s. Does anybody have information on this John Porter? I believe that he later lived in New Fairfield, possibly with his son Nelson. Nelson married Deborah Platt and Lyman married Mary Joyce. Both Nelson and Lyman at one time were living in New Milford, Conn. Nelson died in New Fairfield. Lyman and Mary both died in Danbury, Conn
