I am looking for any information about the birthplace and parents of James Porter and Rachel Daniels. James was born in 1803 in Wilkes County, North Carolina. Rachel was born in Bedford, Virginia in 1803. Their son, George Washington Porter, is my Great, Great, Great-Grandfather. I believe that James' was James Porter who married Susannah Keith, but I have no historical document to prove this fact. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
