I have hit a wall in my search...

Looking for information on the Porter family that would have lived in the Macon/Atlanta/Buena Vista area of GA from about 1920-1930. 'Tank' Porter is my great-grandfather. Unfortunately, I've only heard of his nickname 'Tank' and never knew his real name. I do know that he lived in the aforementioned area of GA in the 20's and 30's--as my grandmother was born around 1926 to my great-grandmother Monnie Wedner of Rustin, Taylor, GA. They were not married. Unfortunately, I haven't enough information to pinpoint him on any census records.
