I'm looking for my biological father and the only information I have is his name and it is Ricardo Portillo and he either used to live in Calexico California or Mexicali. My Mom met him in Mexicali at a nightclub called "The Cage" and he has a brother named Charles or Carlos Portillo. If anyone has any information, I would really appreciate it. I've been wondering for the past 30 years of my life and need answers.

Don't know if you can help me. I am looking for my father. Jesus R Portillo, lived in san anotnio around 1974-1975, worked as a bartender at the Cadillac Bar in downtown san antonio. If you have come across the name I would appreciate it. I am 30 years old, and I am searching for the benefit of my 4 year old son. Jesus - from what I have been told - has never known about me. From what I remember, I have never met the man in my life. If you can help, that would be great. If not, thank you, and good luck in your research.

Jerry

I am from the Portillo/Portillos line also. My great grandfather was Pedro Portillo/Portillos b. May 1865. He married Higina Gonzales b. about 1871. They lived in New Mexico. They had the following children:
1.) Franciso b. Mar 1889 in Miera, Union CO., NM
2.) Emilio b. May 15, 1891 Miera, Union CO., NM
3.)Carlos b. Aug 10, 1892 Union CO., NM
4.) Marieita b. Jan 1900 Union CO., NM
5.) Trinidad b. 1902
6.) Teresita (my grandmother) b. Oct 15,1906 m. Santiago Sanchez Jr.
7.) Baudilio b. 1910 Union CO., NM
8.) Pete b. Nov.20, 1911 in Union CO., NM

I have not been able to go past Pedro or his wife Higinia and I have no names of parents for either one-and am unsure of death dates/places for both. I never knew my grandmother Teresita, and her son-my father, died last year. He had alzheimers and couldn't remember anything. I had just barely gotten his parents names from him a year before the alzheimers took over. If anyone has any information on the aboved named people, it would be greatly appreciated. I have some info on Pedro and Higinia's children, but I would like to find out who Pedro's parents were as well as who Higinia's were. Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,
Candice
It's been awhile since I got on the internet. I'm interested in keeping in touch. My Grandmother Leanore came from Texas, my grandfather Jesus Portillo supposedly lived in the Chicago area, and owned a sausage factory. He knew of my father Alexander David Portillo, but for whatever reason chose not to have contact with his son. We are a large family. My father has three sisters, there's the oldest Alicia, known as Licha, Eldemira, second oldest, Loretta third and Lucy the youngest all still living. Licha in Pico Rivera, CA, Eldy, Flagstaff, AZ. Loretta Mesa, AZ Lucy, Tempe, AZ. and my father David lives in Glendale. I would really like to find out more about my grandfathers side of the family as well as my grandmothers. Other interesting fact is that we are descendents of Pancho Villa. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Let me know.

Sorry, my address changed during the time you posted and I did not receive your message. I have a Crescenscia Portillo born 4-1-1870. I now have found 15 of their 19 children but I have not found an Innocente. They were located in Stockton, Fresno, Knights Ferry, Hornitos and Selma that I know of so far. My posted message states that they may have originated from San Francisco but I now believe that is another branch of the family.

Portillo in Northern California

Searching for families connected to Arciano (Arthur) Portillo and Antonia Castro. Their children were Soledad, Victoria, Francisco, Maria, Prudencio, Crescencia, Pasqual, Teofilo, Norberta, Jose, Narcisso, Ahrina and Santiago. There are two more known children but the names are spelled phonetically on a list from 1892 and I cannot determine their correct given names. The family lived in Stockton, Livermore, Knights Ferry, Hornitos, Fresno and Selma. The known children were born between 1862-1885. The family consisted of 19 children, I have accounted for 15 so far. Any help would be appreciated.

My grandfather's name was Carlos Armendariz Portillo. All that my mother knows is that my great-grandfather's name was Crespin Portillo and he had passed away when my grandfather was 3 days old. The building in San Rosalia Chihuahua that held the baptismal records was burned down. We know nothing about my great-grandfather's family. My grandfather's mother's name was Francisca Armendariz. They were not married. She moved from Chihuahua to El Paso, Texas and then to Los Angeles, California.
