To Descendants of William Jefferson Portis, b. 1814, GA:
I have written and published "Looking Back, Nebraska Lessons and Legacies," about the Portis and Marcum families, 1700s to 1947. William Jefferson's son was the father of Silas McDonald Portis. Silas McDonald's son, Silas Leonard, married Cynthia Elizabeth Marcum. They were my grandparents. The book is available on amazon.com or email me and I'll send a copy!
