Info on William H. Posey

I'm researching my great-great-great grandfather William H. Posey, born 11-16-1832 or 1833 in Union District, S.C. I know that his parents were James Garlye and Rhoda Evans Posey, and they moved to Burleson Co. Texas somewhere around 1851. He married Isabella Addison and relocated to Brown Co. Mr. Posey served under the Comissary Dept. for the Conferate States during the Civil War, driving cattle and supplying beef to the Confederate Army. The information I am searching for actually has to do with his great grandfather who served the whole eight years of the American Revolution. I cannot seem to find a name or any dates that confirm this. All I have is an excerpt from a perodical that appears to be what I think may be a mini-biography, written by his daughter Cora Posey. No names or dates are given. If you have ANY information about Poseys in the area of Union District, S.C. during the period of 1820-1840, please contact me at this address: ashleybates72@yahoo.com. Also any information regarding James Garlyle Posey (his father) would be appreciated.
