Janos is Hungarian for John

Frank Kavajecz/Kavajec was my great grandfather
Ferenc is Hungarian for Frank

Zsuzsanna is hungarian for Susanna or Anna,
Istvan Hungarian Form of Steven/Stephen

I came across my great grandfathers death certificate and it indicated that his Father's name was Stephen and Mother's name was Anna (with no maiden name shown)

I'm assuming that really his father could have been named Istvan and his mother Susanna or Zsuzsanna?

My point for this post is that often we are looking for one name in "English" and we should be cross referencing names in "Hungarian" etc.....

So Joe Kavajecz could be Joseph Joe Joey Yosef Jóska, József

Through research and going through various family documentation. I have come to the conclusion that

József Kavajecz and Frank Kavajecz both had parents named
(Father) Istvan or Stephen Kavajecz and (Mother) Susanna or Zsuzsanna
