I have a Capt. John Potter [5th GGF] was was reported to have been a captain in the militia during the Revolution, per the Potter genealogy [Rev. Potter].

DAR does not list Capt. Potter through their online GRS.

I do not see records for this John Potter on Footnote's Revolutionary War records.
