CHILLICOTHE: Elmer Potter, age 83, currently of Chillicothe, Ohio, previously of Jackson, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 with his family at his side.
He was born April 8, 1939, in Greenup, Kentucky, son of the late Raymond and Ella (Adkins) Potter.
Surviving are wife Mable (Davis) Potter; and two daughters, Kathy Potter Brown (Bob) of Phoenix, Arizona and Pamela Potter Dixon (Greg) Of Poway, California.
Also surviving are grandsons, Tyler Reed (Brenda) of Pheonix, Arizona, Greg Dixon, Jr. (Darian) of Poway, California and Kevin Brown of Boulder, Colorado; one sister, Maxine Clay of Dayton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Glen Potter; and two sisters, Cynthia Potter Sheward and Kathleen Potter Downey.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6th at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson, Ohio.
Viewing will be one hour before services (there will be no calling hours). Pastor Jeffrey Argabright will be officiating with burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to honor his memory can give to the charity of their choice or the Humane Society of their local community.
