Thank you so much for your reply. If willing to look up my ancestors,I think I may be all wet on Christopher, just recently realizing he and Elizabeth don't seem to have had children, could you look for the one from my end of line? From me on back 6 generations this is what I know for certain so no mistakes here: My first-known Potter 3rd gr. grandmother was Rachel Potter, b.29 Nov.1772, most likely in Sussex Co., NJ. Also first-known is her older sister, was Philadelphia Potter, b.1763, Piscataway, NJ. Rachel orphaned by age 9,went to live with "Phila"and husband Nathaniel Martin in Sussex Co. Rachel married my other first-known Benjamin McAfee, in the home of Phila and Nathaniel. HERE"S the question: are Rachel and Phila's parents Joel Potter and Mary Crowell? If so the dates I have are: Joel b.15 Dec.1742, d.29 Jul.1784; Mary b.7 April 1742, d.1782; they married 25 Apr.1762 and had a number of children, I believe. Tried to figure out from NJ wills but hard to do. Thanks so very much! Carole.
