My grandmother Emmilee Rachel Izlar gave me this photo. It's said to be of Hester Beatrix Curry, who married Daniel Pou. Hester was born in 1788 in South Carolina. Daniel was born in 1786.

As you can guess, I am skeptical that this is actually Hester Beatrix. Photography came about in ~1837 when she was 49, and this lady looks a lot younger than 49. My grandmother got the photo from some Izlar family researchers in 1975 long before I was born. Since she's passed away, I do not have any contact info on who she got this photo from.

I do, however, believe that she is an Izlar, Pou, Curry, or Hollema. Perhaps she is in your lineage. Please let me know if you know who this photo is of!
