Does anyone recognize this lady ? She appears in the 1850
census of Chester Co. SC and the 1860 census of Burke Co.,
NC. She had a son Thomas Benjamin b. ca. 1832 and a
daughter Mary b. ca. 1841. No husband is evident.

In both censuses she shows as born in NC although the 1860
must be discounted since it shows her children as born
incorrectly in NC. So what I have is razor thin evidence
that suggests that she was a Pou widow since afaik the
Pou's at this stage were a SC only family.

Any insights welcomed. If anyone is interested these NC
descendants morphed to Pew and then to Pugh.
