I am looking for information regarding my grandmother's (Marie Pooler Madsen)grandfather John P. Poujade who is listed in the Oregon 1841-1849 Census Index and the 1850 Territorial Census Index. Reference books say he was a doctor from France who lived in Champeog and Marion Country and died in Gervus Oregon. He came to Oregon on a wagon train in 1836, thus one of the first settlers in our area.
Any info would be appreciated.
