My Maternal Grandmother is Margaret May Pound Reich (March 8, 1919), her Father was Earl Thomas Pound (B. March 4, 1897 D. in 1967 at 70 years of age) Earl Married Florance Vivian Emmons Pound (B. January 28, 1902 Died in 1969 at 67 years of age.) They got married at the Great lakes Naval station. They were living in Waukegan, Illinois where Margaret May Pound Reich was born. They owned a restaurant called "The Green Parrot" there.

Earl Thomas Pound's father was James Richard Pound. He died in Kingfisher Oklahoma...I'm trying to go through my grandmother's photo album to get his Obituary. He had two step-daughters, Leona and Beaulah. His son, Earl, was 11 years old when he died. I don't know much about his mother.

My Grandmother told me that, "all the English Pounds are related but far away."

Earl Thomas Pound's Parents died when he was 11...he had to make a living on his own. He was also a theatrical performer and "softshoe dancer"...he was also an organizer of an all woman orchestra.

I'm just starting out with finding out my family history, I hope to hear from other Pounds who might be related to me. I would like to present some relatives to my Grandmother, before she passes on.
