I am interested in information for EMMA L. POWELL, born approxmiately 1922 in South Carolina to Samuel & Lulu Small-Powell, Found on the 1930 Census living in Montclair, Essex, New Jersey with her parents, age listed as 8 years. Have not been able to find any additional information on her. To my surprise, and just finding out this information she had an older sister, Mary B. Powell, born 1814, in SC who was my mother, another sister Zelma Powell born SC 1918.
I was not aware that my Mother had another sister, and no one in family ever acknowledge that this person existed. I would be her niece and there is a nephew and we are anxious tto find any information on her. My grandfather Samuel died in Montclair in 1952, was survived by a brother Cornelius.
