William C and Jacob C. Powell, son's of Abraham, were born cir. 1780 in Edgefield Dist, SC. William C. migrated to South Alabama, possibly through Georgia. The widow and children of Jacob (my lineage) appear on the 1860 census in south Alabam, probably following Uncle William

It was interesting to me that your Georgia county is just across the river from Edgefield.
