Hi,
Yolande was my father's sister...his name was ENO DODD
PREJEAN....I didnt know her and my father died in 1993..
however, if you want to find out all her brothers and
sisters go to the 1930 census Louisiana and its easier
to look up Eno prejean because i dont think that Yolande
was spelled like that but I cant remember. There are
some children of Nailes Prejean (yolande's brother) who
would be able to tell you more...Darrel Prejean....I think
he lives in Texas or La. Nailes is dead also.
Judi Prejean Richard

I checked all your names. I have a few Daigles: but no Marie Daigle m. to Valery Mouton. I do have a Marie Anne (without Delzine) Hebert but m. to Jean Arcineaux abt. 1733. I have a Onile Prejean (my uncle) m. to Bella Comeaux (his only wife)both deceased. I have several Joseph Prejeans but not the parents you have. I am sorry that I cannot help you anymore than that. Do you have any dates to go with these names? Maybe I can help more if I had their birth dates, marriage, or death dates. Let me know I can help.

Mary Alice, here are some of the names through which we may be related:
Romain Joseph PREJEAN, son of Joseph Onile Prejean and Mathilde MOUTON.
Joseph Onile was the son of Don Louis PREJEAN and Marie Anne Delzine HEBERT. Mathilde MOUTON was the daughter of Valery MOUTON and Marie DAIGLE.

Hi Probably My Cousin: I am glad you replied to the obit of my Mother; sadly 15 months later my Dad passed also (last year). He always said that we were distantly related to the Port Arthur and Orange Prejeans. I am mad at myself for not ever trying to contact any of you. I do have lots of Prejean, Mouton, Hebert, Dugas, Cormier, Comeaux, and distant Daigle--you name it and I am probably related; and as I joke to family and friends about genealogy, I am kin to myself! LOL Lafayette and surrounding towns are mainly where my relatives are. How about yourself? I have been lucky to be able to trace family back really far except for one great-grandfather (from Spain who changed his name and did not tell anyone what it was; in fact, he was quite tightlipped about his past). Have you been able to get back very far? Do you have any brickwalls?

Is your Dad Randy? I believe he is the same age as my sister Sandy. It can be a challenge doing a family tree. I don't believe anyone has done it for the St.Romain family which is a shame since it is such a large family, I can't even remember all of my cousins! I volunteered to update the one for my mother's side - Gardiner family, but no one was helpful or enthusiastic & my life just seemed to pull me in another direction. I just started my own business, so my time is going to that for now. Let me know if I can provide info for the St. Romain tree.

Hello,
It has been a few years since you posted to this website, but I had changed my email and didn't get this update. Yes we are related. I hope to hear from you. I will write more once I know you are reading this. My grandfather is P.J. St.Romain and my dad is R.J. St.Romain, P.J's son. I Hope to hear from someone soon that way I can get things started. I have never been able to start my ancestry tree for the St.Romain's, and I am not sure if anyone has done this. I am also doing this for my mom's side of the family which is for the Prejean Family. So if anyone is related to either John Prejean he had alot of family in Lafayette Louisiana, but he lived in Lake Charles Louisiana and he just passed away in April of 2008. Also the family of P.J. St.Romain my grandfather and my dad R.J. St.Romain. the only query on this that pretains to me is this one, the rest do not. None or related to me for the Prejean family. So please if anyone thinks they are related to the Prejean family please read the above information before you reply to me. Thank you and May the Lord Bless You All!!

God Bless You,
Angelic Thibodeaux

Other than a marriage record, I can't find anything on her. She married Simeon Ozenne. I know that her married name can be spelled at least 4 different ways that I know of.
If I could put out in the open the info. All that I have and they are all living. Paul M. is g-grandfather to our children and he is living also. He married Mona and then divorced. Mona remarried (last name Lowe) than passed away in 1997. I have year of births for all of Paul's children and grandchildren. As I have said they are all living. I don't know if Paul had any siblings or not. I don't have a birth year for him. I have done the family tree on my side, I thought just for fun I would try my husband's. Proving to be quite a chore meaning difficult to get a hold of people.

Kari

I totally forgot I had been to this site. P.J. St. Romain is my uncle & his brother (my Dad) Chester were both dentist in L.C. My father is now passed away. My sisters & I are always talking about trying to plan a family reunion since we never see our cousins & their children, but our lives are so busy it never happens. My Aunt Charlene used to have a Christmas Eve party every year & that was when we all saw each other, but she is very old & stopped having the party ~ 20 years ago. I am trying to work on the family tree/history for my mother's side (Gardiner), but someone needs to do the St. Romain tree. It would be a lot of work since there are so many offspring!

CLABY (1909 - 1955) buried in Carencro, Louisiana next to a Prejean couple

I am trying to learn the surname of and more abour "CLABY".

On a recent trip to Carencro, I photographed some of the headstones in St. Pierre Cemetery, next to St. Peter Catholic Church. Among those headstones I photographed was one that read.

CLABY
NOV 10, 1909
JAN 16, 1955

An additional headstone on the grave is prepared for Willie C. Prejean and Adeline Prejean.

Those Willie C. and Adeline might not be correct, but that is my closest guess.

I have the photo posted as CLABY "UNKNOWN", but I am hoping one of you can help me out here. Who was "Claby"?

The photo is posted at:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=10...

To see all of the headstones I photographed in the little time that was available to me, please go to:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GScid=...

Henriette (Annette) PREJEAN b.abt.1831 m.abt.1850 Adolph Alphonse CHANDONNET

Looking for information on a Henriette or Annette Prejean. She was born abt 1831. She married an Adolph or Alphonse Chandonnet abt 1850. I do not believe their line moved to Louisiana as they had a daughter get married in 1870 in Richmond County, Quebec.
Ken
