Looking for info on my ancestor, Jane Prescott. According to a family story handed down over the generations, my Jane was kidnapped from her home in England. A ship sailed into a Enlish harbor dropped anchor. Some of the officers went to the city fathers asked if the eligable young ladies could have dinner on the ship. While these young ladies were having dinner, the ship set sail. By the time dinner was over the ladies got up to leave, the ship was well under way. The ladies were brought to the colonies sold either as brides or bond servants. The only thing I know abt Jane is that she is related to my Connally ancestors, who may have been from AL.
