It is with great sadness that I report that my father, Thompson Elwood Pressly, died this past Saturday, March 8th, in Irving, TX. His graveside service was yesterday, March 10th. For those of you interested in the lineage:

Thompson Arnold Pressly (b. 2 Dec 1887, Sweethome, Lavaca County, TX, d. 31 Dec 1937, Beaumont, TX); wife, Elizabeth Amelia Meyer.

James Alexander Pressly (b. 8 Aug 1849, Lavaca County, TX, d. 26 Mar 1925, Magnolia Park, Harris County, TX); wife, Mary Caroline Pearce.

Dr. John Thompson Pressly (b. 11 May 1818, South Carolina, d. 23 Oct 1908, Houston, TX); wife, Clarissa (Clara) A. Arnold.

Alexander Edmiston Pressley (b. 27 Jan 1793, 96th Dist., Abbeville, Anderson County, SC, d. 17 Oct 1863 Lowndes County, MS); wife, Tabitha Cothran Thompson.

David Pressley II (b. 12 Jan 1765, Glasgow, Scotland, d. 11 May 1834, Anderson County, SC); wife, Ann Edmiston.

David Pressley (b. 1731, Glasgow, Scotland, d. 5 Jan 1785, Charleston, SC); wife, Ester Brown.
