I'm new to site so am still working on names.
The children's names are my Dad's uncles or cousins.
I am seeing my Dad today and will check more.
My Dad's grandparents came over from Germany in 1898.
Names, August Gaudian and wife Wilhelmena nee Prill.
Carl Sr., my Dad's uncle was born in Van Pruessen, Germany.
I will read other answers sent to you to see if I'm off

I think this particular Frederick and Augusta are part of my lineage but havent been able to figure where they come into play as of yet.

If you have a membership there is a lot of info on these two. The 1910 census record for douglas county nebraska shows a bunch of info on them and their kids, there's also messages on these boards if you search for augusta long prill that have more info.

Samuel Prill is my great grandfather. He was born in 1807 in Morgan county Virginia. He died Feb 13, 1896. Kis son is my grandfather, Theodore F. Prill, born July 10, 1850. He died Jan. 1, 1941 1n Casper Wyo. He was born in Dayton Ohio. He married my grandmother, Mary Evalyn Edwards. Among the children were my Uncles, Merton, Charles, Laverne, my Aunt Lula and my mother Mamie Veda. All the aforementioned are deceased. I hope this valuable to you. I am 75 years old and live in Timber Oregon. I have one living sister who lives in Portland. I would like very much to hear from you via email.

I am a descendant of August Prill 1849-1930 and Ameillia "Emile" Krüger Prill 1844-1923. They came with their family to the Chicago area around 1883-1887 from West Prussia with children August Jr., Johann Frederick, Louise, Emilie, Augusta Wilhelmine, & Martha Mathilda Prill. They also had two other children who died young. Johann (John) Prill came to Peoria Illinois in 1893 and is my great grandfather.

Not much into the family tree but, I have a German exchange student living with me and she is from Berlin. From what I have read, that appears to be the beginning of what you have traced so far. If you have some avenues you would like to pursue in Germany, I may be able to assist.

Sorry I have not gotten back to you, but things for the last year have been really busy. I was in a car accident in November of 2003 and everthing for 2004 is still not making to much sense. My dad, Don, went into the hospital in November of 2004 and had his leg taken. He did not get out and home until almost Christmas. Things are starting to slow down now and I am hoping to get back into tracing the family again. I will keep in touch and get you the things that I have. Talk to you later......Terry

Frederick Prill and Caroline (Meyer) Prill

I am looking for information on my ggGrandfather Frederick Prill and his family. He was born in Germany and married Caroline Meyer. His son, Frederick H. Prill (my gGrandfather) was born in Germany 10/16/1864. I'm not sure when they came to America or where they first lived after arriving. My gGrandfather married Rosalia Mehren (we believe in the LaCrosse, WI area). Rosalia was born in St. Joseph's Ridge, LaCrosse County. He worked as a cooper in LaCrosse, Trippville, and New Lisbon, WI. He died 10/6/1939. My Grandma, Wilhelmina "Minnie" (Prill) Jensen was born 8/12/1902, died 4/4/1977 in Elroy,WI. She had several sisters and brothers: Joseph F. Prill b.8/9/1897, d.9/15/1971. Ida Francis b.11/2/1894, d.4/21/1957. "Tillie" (probably Mathilda), Carl (possibly Karl), Rose, married Harley Kopenhaefer. Any information on these family groups would be appreciated.

I am searching for the parents of Michael Prill who was born in 1777 in Morgan Co. Virginia. He was married to Elizabeth Abernathy in 1806 in the same county. His son is Samuel Prill who was also born in Morgan Co. Virginia in 1807. Samuel was married to Rebecca Hammer in 1838. Both families moved to Miami Ohio and lived next to each other. I am at a dead end at Michael Prill in 1777. Does anyone have any info on Michael's parents or grandparents? Thankyou. CL Prill

i wonder whether your great grandmother vera prill came from germany? i am also looking for informations on her.
i am writing my ma-thesis on women in germanics in berlin from 1919 to 1945. one of "my" 66 female germanics is named vera prill. she was born on 10/15/1902 in berlin. her father was the music-teacher emil prill and got her doctorate-degree from berlin-university in 1932 for her work on the writer caroline de la motte-fouque.
unfortunately, i couldn't find out any more details about her life. i'm curious whether we mean the same person.

Please e-mail me at TlpOly@aol.com and we can share copies of everything that we have gotten together so far. My dad's other cousin, Vera, is also interested in the family tree. My parents are out of town until the middle of March and Vera and her husband Harley won't be back in town until the middle of April.

I do have copies of several items from the research that has been done so far, but I have just touch the tip of it. It seems that the more I look the bigger and bigger this family is getting. So, any information that you can share would be of a great help.

My husband, Bob, would be willing to share information about his side of the Prill family, but haven't heard back from you. So we don't know what information you would like. Would you be willing to share copies of what you have with us? Bob has a neice who has done a lot of researching on the Prill's, but we don't know what she has. We were going to receive copies, but haven't seen them yet.

My grandfathers name is Walter Albert Prill, son of Emil and Sophia Prill. He passed away in 1996 in Centralia, Washington and his wife Nellie Ida passed away in 2001 in Centralia. I have been in contact with Bill and I have given him some of the information that I have. I have some copies of items that I am going to be coping and sending to him. I would be interested in knowing more about your branch of the Prill tree if you are willing to share.

I am just starting to look into my family history. But I do have a copy of the death certificate of Martin Prill. He was born in Germany and his death was on April 21, 1907 in Georgetown which is now a part of Seattle, Washington. He was 84 years of age at the time of his death. It list senility as the condition directly leading to his death. His son Emil is the father of Walter Albert Prill who passed on March 8, 1996 in Centralia, Washington.

Thank you for responding to my message. I would very much like to get more information on your branch of the Prill family. I am related to Emil's brother Fred. Emil was born January 3, 1867 in Germany. I don't have much more information on Emil or his family other than he married a Sophie Schlier in Minnesota and had at least seven children. They were Michael, Martha, Anthony, Allard, T. Lucy, Julius and Ernest. No Walter? I could be wrong on all of this so anything you have will be enlightening. I also would very much like to get a copy of Martin's death certificate if you wouldn't mind. My e-mail address is philbric@pacbell.net. I can offer consolation. I have traced, to varying degrees, Michael, John, Nancy, Christena and Phebe Prill of Berkeley/Morgan county, who chronologically could be siblings, but can't find a parent. There is a John Prill in the 1820 Morgan census who is old enough, but I have no information on him. I will make another trip up there sometime this fall.
(Nancy is my 3rd great grandmother.)

I am new to this endeavour - searching for ancestors - and it's taken over my life!
My grandmother, Whilemina "Minni" Carolina Ernestine Prill came from the Posnen area of what was Gernany / now Poland, around 1887, along with two of her sisters, Augusta "Gussie" Wilhemina and Maria Louise Emelie"Amelia" Prill. The three were very good cooks and worked as Harvey girls in railroad station restaurants between Chicago and Omaha, finally settling in the Springfield, Illinois area.
I am looking for information preceding their arrival (and that of there mother and younger siblings) into the U.S. at Baltimore, 1887. I have checked passenger lists for that and pre-ceding/later years and find nothing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My husband's name is Robert Prill, son of Adlard(note spelling) Martin E. Prill, Grandson of Emil Martin and Sophie (Schlier) Prill. Yes, there was a son, Walter Albert. Also, besides those listed, there was Wilford, Sadia "Mary", Salie "Helen", and a Bertha who died when a baby. According to The National Funeral Record that we have, Emil was born in Berlin, Germany on 3 Jan 1861 and died 3 Aug 1956 in Port Townsend, WA., having been in this country for 90 years.

Ralph Lewis Prill, WWI veteran, died 1981, Norfolk, Nebr

Looking for information on Ralph Lewis Prill. on the 1930 census, at age 36, states his parents are from Ohio. but on the 1920 census it is noted that his father is from Ohio and his mother from WVirginia.
In the 1930 census, he is married to Bertha, with three children, Mariana (?), 5, Margaret J., 2, and Donald J., 1, in Holt County, Nebraska.
Oddly, he or another Ralph Prill of the same age, is also listed in the 1930 census with mother Charlotte Prill and younger brother, Russell Prill, in Cuyahoga County, Cleveland, OH.
I have no parents for him, no early life, very little information. He used to tell my father that he had a son named Bob, but I can't find Bob, either. He told us he was a WWI veteran, and I found records for him under Ohio Militia Men, honorably discharged in 1919. He said he trained horses to pul the wagons hauling dirt to and from railroad grade construction sites.
