I've just recently learned that my great great grandmother was named Mary E. Prine. I understand that her family (Robert Francis Prine) moved from Charleston District, SC to Echols and Lowndes Counties, GA. She is listed on the Lowndes 1860 census with Elisha Daniel and 4 sons, Francis P., Augustus, Moses, and John. Elisha died during the Civil War, and Mary remarried. On the Lowndes 1870 census, she and the boys are listed with William Loftin; the boys are listed as Loftins, but they were not adopted.
