Levi Pritchett was born in 1829, in South Carolina. His father was William (b. abt 1796). I found him age 21 in the 1850 Georgia Census, District 30, Sumpter, GA, Family #182, Roll M432_82, Pg 157, Image 317. Levi's father William had married younger woman who was 28 and had two small children under the age of 2. The census actually states that his father and Levi were both born in South Carolina.

Pat, I do have an Annie in my line but she was born in Clark oc Alabama and died in Conecuh Co. Alabama. She also married A Blackwell. She was born about the same time but sounds like a different Annie. Sorry i couldn`t help you. Dennis

Dennis, would you by chance have an Annie Pritchet in your family tree? I am looking for her parents and siblings. she was born in Blythesville Ark in 1882 and married Thomas Martin. I do not know If Pritchet was her birth name or married name before she married Thomas or if her parents were born in Ark or somewhere else. They are my grandparents and any help would be appreciated.

Hi. We are attempting to locate my nephew, Mark Daniel Pritchett. He was born in Long Beach, California on October 12, 1968. His father's name was Carl Daniel Pritchett (b. 1944) and his mother's name was Kathleen Marie Burke (b. 1948). They were married in Los Angeles County in 1967 and were divorced around 1970. Though I can not offer information I can't help but offer some clues to follow on.

Atlanta is such a large area. Am assuming your birth mother may have been under 18 years old in 1954. You could search city directories for that year for families named Pritchett - also if possible school year books.

You may have to wait until the 1940 census stats are out to search for a family. Really would help if you knew what area in Atlanta to follow up on.

I have been trying to locate any information about my Pritchett biological family. I was born on 9/18/1954 in Atlanta, Ga., at 3 weeks old my biological mother gave me up for adoption. My birth name was Richard Arlen Pritchett. My adoption was handled through a private attorney in Atlanta,Ga. My adoptive parents were from Florida and at the time of my adoption changed my name to Stan Tucker. If anyone out there has any recollection of anything about this or about my biological Pritchett family I would greatly appreciate any information.

Yes, I know the link between John and Jesse and Frank Pritchett/prichard/pritchard. Jesse was grandfather, John oldest son, Frances or frank was the grandson. Also the change in spellings that occurred and why. If you still need this info. contact me msjeanp7@gmail.com. It's all rather complicated. Large family, different spellings, many twists and turns. A real challenge to unravel, but I grew up in home territory and know the graves, etc. Also my father's memoirs. Also see Dr. Caleb Pritchard's auto-

Hello, I just tuned into this conversation and I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this or not but Beaufort county, North Carolina seems to be a spot where some of the Pritchetts settled, probably from Virginia. There are will abstracts that mention the same family names over and over from generation to generation: Peter, Phillip, James, Abraham, Jesse, etc. If you haven't checked out the Beaufort County, NC website and their will abstracts I think there is very good information there. I have this person also in my "tree", him being my ggg grandfather. I have found, but can't remember where offhand, that his father is also a James and mother is Nancy Jane UNKNOWN. Most of my research, and family lore, show he comes from TN, but not where in TN. Have you found any more since posting this query? I feel like I've been banging my head against a wall for some time over my Pritchett side. My father is Raymond L. "Sandy" Pritchett of Elvins MO. His father was Jesse Elmer Pritchett who married Sadie Easter, whose father was John William, whose father was Lewis Martin (known as Levi or Mort) who is James Wisener's son. Emily Pritchett md Alonzo Cone possibly in NY in 1833 then they are in Illinois. I know of no connection to Arkansas Pritchetts. 1850 Census has Emily born in KY. Have not found her parents but Alonzo Cone is administrator of Lewis Pritchett estate in 1837 in Illinois.

Nicholas's parents were Burgman & Stephanie? Burgman was born in 1772, where I'm not sure. Daughter of Nicholas is Margaret Pritchett. Who married Alexander Kirgan. Then their son Noah Micheal Kirgan, was my Grandmother's father, her name was Nettie Kirgan who married my Grandfather Richard O'Brien. We also know that we are Native American on that side,but we don't know how, but it came from the Pritchett's.Nicholas was born in 1798 in Ohio.

The family moved to Pittsburgh about 1884 but William did not. I cannot find him or his family. My grandmother never knew she had an Uncle William. There is another branch of Pritchett's in St. Francois county Missouri that came from NC. That line has been researched quite extensively in the past. Several years ago, one of that family gave me a copy of that line's movements west to Missouri along with much of the family line. We compared it with James Wisner Pritchett's line and could not find a link. There was also another group of Pritchett's in Missouri long before James Wisner Pritchett's family arrived here. And all three lines used the same Biblical names, making this a researcher's nightmare. I hope one of you have better luck than I have had so far.

We know she was married to a Pritchet,first name not known, they married sometime between 1900 and 1910 in or around the Blytheville Ark. area. They had 2 children which was placed in an orphanage we think when he died. It was said she married a Pritchet and had two children which were put in an orphanage we think when he passed away. They married in or around Blytheville, Ark. The year somewhere between 1900 and 1910. If you have any information on a Pritchet matching this description I sure would appreciate it.
