Betty Jane Probst,



Betty Jane Probst, 86, of 557 German Rd., Lock Haven, passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2008 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.

Born Oct. 22, 1922 in Castanea, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Hanna and Marie Schadt Hanna.

She married Lester H. Probst, who survives, on Jan. 14, 1946.

Betty retired from Lock Haven Savings & Loan after 30 years.

She graduated from Lock Haven High School and was a member of Swissdale United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister-in-law, Grace Hanna of Lock Haven; an aunt, Kathryn Schadt of Rauchtown;
and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, with the Rev. Ginger Baker-Betz officiating. Visitation will be this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Swissdale Cemetery.
