Hi there, i just googled my names for some old pics onlie and i came across the ansestry site and seen people actually wrote me back..I know it's been years but we must be cousins! My grand parents are Charles and margaret Prosper! My fater is henerys first cousin i do believe. so what are your parents names?

Where do you live now?

hi there yes that would be my family. charles prospers wife is margeret prosper. my father is also named charles prosper. i know its been awhile but have you found much out? how old his you father?

I'm a Prosper myself, but I also have traced some Prospers in the Republic of Panama, you can look it up in webages like facebook and you'll find them, I don't know if this Prospers are somehow related to Prospers in Canada, the United States or France, does anyone knows?

Hi ! my name is Bruce T. Prosper, I live in new hampshire and if you're looking for the prosper family's, we ourselves originated in Newfoundland Canada, you might try looking there, and if you were from there , then you might also be micmac indian as we are, which we recently found out ourselves about our ancestry status, so good luck in your seach, who knows, we might even be related!!!!

Great family history-Thanks-I have found in the last years-our Family were from Canada-Indian tribe MICMAC-moved to boston area & Dad left to go to San Francisco-Which is where I am. Thanks again for the info- & as they say on Star track "LIVE LONG & PROSPER"

My father in law was told that his Prosper ancestors came to Louisiana from Haiti. He doesn't have direct evidence of this but his family is sure of it. That's the closest Caribbean connection I can offer.

Hello. I know this post is 7 years old but I hope you will still get it. My father in law, Louis Prosper, III had an uncle named Arthur Prosper. I think his wifes name was Frances and from what I learned at this site, they have a granddaughter named Sandra Smith. Some of Arthur's siblings were Clarence, Walter, Louis II, Roy & Rogers. There were girls too. Walter prosper has 5 children that I've heard of (Jean, Ennis, Hilton, Gilda & Debra.) Arthur's father, Louis J. Prosper, Sr. was born around 1875 and married Leonora Lewis (born around 1883). That's as far as I've gotten. I hope this helps. Please contact me and we can figure out more info together.

For info, my family name of Prossor was often misspelt as Prosper on various documents when they were transcribed for the web, etc. Probably something to do with the "ss" being handwritten as "sf" up to the 1860s. This snippet may provide a break for some people who've hit a genealogical brick wall.

Hello sir,

I've been trying to find information on a great grandfather of mine, William Prosper who married Dora Osmond in the 1920's or 1930's. Their children were Alice, Robert, and Roweena. However, it's very difficult to find any information on William whatsoever!

Are we somehow related? Things like this are so tough and so interesting so I look forward to your reply if you should get this several years after your original posting.

My family is : PROSPER PECK , b. abt. 1789 bp. New Jersey . I think his father possibly could be a Abraham Peck due to Prosper Peck first child is named Abraham . And the Abraham is far from Prosper in the census.

I dont know if Prosper had any siblings yet. Still doing research. But, anyhelp on this would be appreciated. I figured with a name like PROSPER it has to be someone maiden name. Maybe his mother or something.. Suggestions are welcome

My mother was a Prosper and I have been very active in trying to find out my family tree. My mom descends from the Amable Prosper and Caroline Archambault family. One of their son's John Herve Prosper, born in NY (another direct ancestor) married a woman named Eliza. I would like to know the identity of Eliza. Also the farthest Prosper dit Desgroseillier family member I found through people's help was Joseph Bouchard dit Dorval Desgroseilers Prosper. My mother's father was John Prosper and I know very little about him except that he was from Quebec and New England.
He died around 1914 and was 35 years old.

My mother's older sister was born in Quebec and my mother in the USA. My mother's family was Arcadian; I know there are links between New England French and New Orleans French so I wonder if we are from the same Prosper family.
