I don't now if I am related to any of the Provos listed here, but I would like to post the information that I do have. My G-G grandfather was Samuel Lewis Barber born in Ohio in 1860. His wife was named Gertrude Caroline or Oraline Provo-Barber. She was born in November 1865 in Ohio. Their children were Grace listed as Ginne, Ora, Golda, Lola, Belle, Lester and I forgot Chester who was their eldest. They lived in Olive Township, Meigs County,OH during the 1900 census. The area was called Longbottom. In the 1910 census they had moved to Athens County, Ohio and lived in Coolville. My G-G grandmother's maternal side, I'm not sure how far back, was a full blooded Indian. Gertrude was born in Ohio, but her parents were born in West Virginia and were said to have come from E. Canada. If anyone recognizes these names I would appreciate the help. I've had a really hard time locating anyone up until the recent release of the census. Thank you in advance for any help.
