I am the great great granddaughter of Charles Provost. He married Mary LaLonde. I am looking for information on their descendants,parents anything going back. They had 3 children,Rose Alma 5/20/1885-12/17/1978 in Duluth, Minnesota,Emma, and Frank, I have no information on. Rose was my great grandmother. Rose had seven children and was married to Albert J. St.Aubin.

Yes, it is possible we have a distant relationship. PLEASE ask your father for his details -- all of his vital records data with the places, same for his parents, grandparents, spouses, etc. -- whatever he can remember or suggest ways to find such data. I have access to a large amount of PROVOST data, and if you can detect names and dates farther back, perhaps I can tie it all together. I was born to Albert J Provost so maybe we are related. He is now 80 yrs old from Winnipeg but now in Ontario since he retired 30 yrs ago... I have been in Ontario for 50 years since I was 8 when we moved from Winnipeg to here... Take care and have a great day.

Iam nor a Provost, but my grgrandfather's sister Martha Teets married Abraham Provost probably Albany Co. NY. My grgrandfather was born 1813 and Martha would have been born early 1800's. Martha and Abraham are listed in 1850 census. I would like to know what happened to all their chilcren as they would be distant relative. M.E.

Alfred Provost and Hélène Bissonnette were married on December 26, 1939 in St. Francis-Xavier in Tilbury, On.

Don't know if this will help but my grgrandfather Benjamin Teets had a sister Martha who married an Abraham Provost. I don't know when he died but she was living in Coeymans Albany NY in 1906. Ron, my great grandfather was William, Solomon & Levi's oldest brother ......I remember meeting your grandmother Bella D'artois at someone's funeral ...prob . Homer's ...or as we called him Uncle Homer & Aunt Loretta, when I was young Homer & Loretta would take me along with a niece & nephew on the Morin side to the family Christmas party at for American Bosch seeing they had no children. the one of the many branches of Provost/Prevost Family. Did you try pulling all the census reports from the earliest (1840, 1880, 1910, 1930)? You must know where your family

My father is Robert “Bob” Carson, b. 1933 he is the son of Harold Carson and Elaine “Bunny” Brill, his grandmother was Orena Beatrice Brill. Orena was the eldest daughter of Florence May Hardy and James Wesley Brill. (sister of Ethel Florence Brill).

Florence May Hardy was the Daughter of Elizabeth Ann McCamon & Abraham Alfred Hardy. I have plenty of info on this line of the family as well as the Brill’s side.

Do you recall the other children of Florence Hardy & James Wesley Brill: Glen Eric Brill, Juanita (Anita) Frances Brill, Lulu Madge Brill and Ward Cyril Brill.

As a child I remember visiting my gg- Aunt Anita Brill (Silber), gg- Aunt Lulu Brill (Ogglesby) and gg- Aunt Ethel (Provost)

My father remembers Wallace owning a barber shop, and your father Jack, my dad lived with and spent a great deal of time with the Brill side of the family during WWll, when all the husbands and father were overseas.

Other family names: Phyllis Kleinsteuber daughter of Dewey, Peggy, Gordon, Paul and Marnie Hartford, June Ogglesby & Nick Bozian and Pauline and Ed Tucker.

My father attended the Tucker family reunion in 1988. I have several old pictures to share if you are interested. (one of your father Jack playing a piano.)

I have my Acadian genealogy don and certified. 5 branchs issued from Provost surname (my gr.mother) are supposed to be Micmac Metis blood from as far as 1560's.

I'm looking to check all those surnames in my three with sure Micmac/Acadian references but I don't know where to surf.

Help! I am looking for any information of a Henry M Provost who lived in New Jersey and born abt 1854. His wife was Sarah Jane Hutton. They had nine children. He could be the son of Pierson Provost whose father was Peter Praa Provost. Another source I saw showed a Charles as maybe his father, but I did not find information in any of the census records which could confim it.

William D. is supposedly buried in Rosehill Cemetery in Matawan.

There is some question whether David is also buried in Rosehill.

Solomon Provost Sr. (Levi Provost's older brother) was my Great Gradfather (Born in 1865, Levi in 1866, along with 7 other siblings (from 1881 Canadian Census). Levi and other family members moved to Western Massachusetts in the 1880s to work in the mills.Soloman moved around 1900.
Solomon Married Exilda Dubois and they had 6 Children. Solomon Jr.(b1896), Exilda, Bella, Lily, William and Homer. Soloman Jr. was my Grandfather and I met Exilda and Homer in my childhood.
Soloman Jr. Married Bella D'Artois (my Grandparents) and had 4 Children - Lorraine (alive in Florida) Roger (died in infancy) Richard (died in WWII) and my Father Robert (died in 1997). I Have two brothers Robert (California) and Richard (Oklahoma) and a half brother John (Virginia) We all were born in Western Massachusetts (Northampton/Holyoke).
Solomon and Levi's parents were named William and Saphania

Sorry that my line of prevost is not in your records. Any sugestions on where I can get help? We are from the Prevost/ Provost Dit Collett family. That i am sure of as Fr Hebert book has my greatgrand father as Joacin/Joachim Prevost Dit Collett. I am determined to solve this family issue.
We have to belong to someone!!

My father Walter Robert Prevost b:july4,1910 to Joesph Prevost & Ada Patin had a strong lov of family and raised his six sibblings when his parents died at a young age. He and Mom had 10 children 4boys & 6 girls. They hit perfection on 10th child,me.lol
29 grandchildren & 47 greatgrandchildren.
We all have a inherited the strong lov of family.
So, important to find our path..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
