Hi! Laura,

We have the same ancestor (Louis Prud'homme)and I am the author of the whole story of "Les Prud'homme de Montréal".Agathe-Amable Prud'homme was the daughter of François-Xavier Prud'homme who was born (and married) in Montréal.He moved to the Fort Pontchartrain's area (Windsor/Detroit) in 1750-1751. If you're interested by the whole story, contact me...

Vianney Prud'homme from Montreal,Quebec,Canada
vprdh@hotmail.com

I am a Prud'homme from Montréal. You and I have probably the same ancestor: Louis Prud'homme. If you are interested,I have the whole story in my document " Les Prud'homme de Montréal". Il ne manque que quelques liens pour relier la branche des Prud'homme de l'Outaouais à celle de Nicolas Prud'homme qui est dans ma lignée directe.

Au plaisir!

Vianney Prud'homme

Dear Sandra,

Part of the information you have is OK; but part of it is wrong.FRANÇOIS-XAVIER PRUD'HOMME and Judith Cuillerier dit Beaubien were not married in Sandwich, but in Saints-Anges parrish in Lachine (now part of Montreal)Quebec Canada. The whole story is:

François-Xavier Prud'homme (first child of François Prud'homme and Marie-Anne Courraud)was born in Montreal on 1711-09-06.He got married (27),as I told you, to Judith Cuillerier dit Beaubien, in Saints-Anges (Lachine) on 1738-11-10. He and his family moved later on (around 1751) in the Fort Pontchartrain's area, more specifically in Sandwich on the north bank of the Detroit River. He died at the age of 62, on 1773-09-26 and was buried in L'Assomption parish in Sandwich (now Windsor, Ontario)

You and I have the same ancestor: Louis Prud'homme

Au plaisir!

Vianney Prud'homme (Montréal,QC)
Hi Sandra!
We are from the same branch of what I call "the Prud'homme from Montreal".Our ancester (Louis Prud'homme)came along with Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve who founded Montreal in may 1642.I am working on a document based not only on the genealogy of the Prud'homme (or Prudhomme);but also on the history of the family in parallel of the history of Montreal,of Quebec and of Canada.I will launch a web site when my project will last. For your information, here's my
"lignée des Prud'homme de Montreal":
1-Claude Prud'homme------------Isabelle Aliomet
2-Louis Prud'homme-------------Roberte Gadois
3-François-Xavier Prud'homme---Cecile Gervaise
4-Nicolas Prud'homme-----------Françoise Roy
5-Eustache #1 Prud'homme-------Angelique Barre
6-Eustache #2 Prud'homme-------Veronique Parent
7-Felix Prud'homme-------------Zoe Hurtubise
8-Jeremie Prud'homme-----------Marie-Emma Fortier
9-Albert Prud'homme------------Marie-Josephine Gougeon
10-Ernest Prud'homme(my father)Madeleine Lauzon
11-Vianney Prud'homme (myself)

The Prud'homme first settled in downton Montreal (Ville-Marie),then went to the south-west of the island, then migrated to either the north-west (Notre-Dame-de Grace,Cote St-Luc,Ville St-Laurent,Ville de Laval, the Laurentians, the Outaouais etc) the Monteregie and Ontario or southern Quebec to the USA.I am interested by anything linked to my branch or not...

N.B.Scholastique was probably born in AMOS (not AMIS),north of Val-D'Or (Abitibi)Quebec

I don't have much info on the Marshalls or Prudhommes except what I have gotten from ancestry. I do have a couple of pictures of Beatrice though fromearly 1900's and one about 1930.

My great-great grandmother was Frances Jane Prudum, a daughter of Reuben Prudum(Prudhomme) and Georgiana (Prudum). Members of my family have been searching for more information. My great-great grandmother married Fredrick Hamblin on 20 or 29 May 1859 in Santa Clara, Washington County, Utah. She died 12 May 1880 in Alpine, Apache County, Arizona. A daughter, Daphne Jane Hamblin, was my great grandmother. She married Samuel Edward Lewis 8 Apr 1881. Frances Jane and her brother (Alfred?) were orphans. Family lore has it that Reuben died at sea. We know nothing of Reuben's wife, Georgiana, not even her maiden surname. Have had no success going beyond Reuben and Georgiana. Hope you can do better than we have.
Bill Rothlisberger

Yes, would love information. My Ggrandmother was a sister to Napoleon (Victoria's husband). I knew and loved their daughter Ruth Elenor very much. Ggrandparents adopted Ruth and Joseph after their parents were killed in some kind of accident in Detroit. Do you know anything about this? I have pictures of Aunt Ruth, none that I know of for Joseph, my parents are both gone and pictures on dads side most have no names.
Dennis Stanislaus PRUDHOMME m. Christine GIRARD 1850-10-29 St-Philemoa, Howe Island

Looking for information on my PRUDHOMME & GIRARD side. Dennis (Stanislaus) PRUDHOMME married Christine GIRARD Oct. 29, 1850 St. Philemoa, Howe Island. Dennis's parents were Michel & Elizabeth BAUDOIN, Christine's parents were Francis & Angelique DESROCHERSs. Dennis and Christine had 9 children that I know of, the first 6 were born in Kingston area ( Sophia, Justine, Margaret, Joseph, Sara, Emilie), the last born in Chatham(Napoleon). Sophia married Peter MARSHALL, Joseph married Ester TURCOTTE, Sara married Joseph SMITH, all married in Chatham Ontario. Napoleon married Victoria SCROGGIE in Sarnia. Would love to connect with anyone researching this line, love to share info, have lots of info & would love more. Can't seem to find these people after 1901 in Chatham. I know that Sara came to Bay City, Michigan, Napoleon to Detroit (least this is what is told), where are the others? This line of PRUDHOMME'S stems back to Julien & Perrine GUERIN, GIRARS'S stems back to Pierre & Catherine ROCH. Thanks & God bless..
