Virginia Solecki Przepierski, 92,
a resident of Erie passed away Monday, December 22, 2008 at St. Mary’s Home East. She was born March 3, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Anthony and Victoria Zielonis Solecki.
A longtime resident of Erie, Virginia was a graduate of East High School and worked for 25 years in the Erie School District’s cafeterias. She was active in the programs and groups sponsored by the Downtown YMCA, AARP, and the Liberty St. Salvation Army. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Besides her parents,
she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Przepierski, who died in 1985;
a half brother, Edward Klimow;
and three sisters, Mary Chambers,
and Nellie Keirzek.
Virginia is survived by a daughter, Patricia Gray, and her husband, Thomas T., of Erie.
She is the grandmother of Thomas E. Gray and his wife, Ruth, James Gray and his wife, Laurie, Susan Gray, and Carolyn Colicchio and her husband, Jon. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren, Andrew and Daniel Gray, Maggie and Julian Colicchio, and Collette and Christian Gordon.
Friends are invited
to call at the John J. Quinn Home, W. 9th & Liberty St., Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Saturday at 12:30 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. in St. Andrew Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Andrew Church, 1116 W. 7th St., Erie, PA 16502.
