Yesterday evening, word was brought to the Police Office , that a man was lying dangeroulsy ill at 641 Commercial Street. Captain Douglass sent an officer to investigate the matter and at the same time sent Dr. J.L. Henry. In searching the room, a bottle labeled "Morophine" was found; it was half empty. Dr. Henry administered antidotes, but they could not couteract the effects of the poinson, and at 11 o'clock, the man, whose name was ascertain to be J.P. PULASKI, expired. It is not known weather he took the drug intentionally. His body was conveyed to the dead- house.
