My great great grandparents were Stanislaw (born about 1830) and Katarzyna (born about 1832) Pupel. Parents of Katarzyna were Jan and Helena Ziatkowski. Stanislaw and Katarzyna came to U.S. in 1872 with their four daughters (Maryanna, Anna, Franciszka and Theophile). They settled in Chicago. Maryanna was my great grandmother.

We believe that Stanislaw came from the Polish village of Komorowo.
