Joan (Cissie) Purdie or Clare

Great aunt Cissie was an actress/singer with her husband John Clare's travelling concert party. She took ill and died quite young, while on tour at Saltburn-by-the-Sea or Redcar, sometime between 1924-1940, most likely in the late 1920s.
I can't find her death certificate in the English indexes.
Any help would be welcomed.
Hi,

My grandmother Elizabeth Purdie was born in Clones, Co. Monaghan in 1895/1896. Her parents were Michael Purdie and Bridget O'Neill. Elizabeth later married in Glasgow, Scotland in 1922, and lived in Kilsyth.

Any information on this family would be really helpful. I know Elizabeth had one or two siblings who emigrated to Manchester, England.

Thankyou.

Any of this helpful, please let me know. Thomas Purdie married Nancy McAleese. Children, that I can confirm, are John and Margaret (there are others). Margaret married William Boal and with their two daughters, immigrated to Illinois, USA in 1909. John married Katherine Dornan (both Irish), adopted son William (born Scottish) and immigrated to Illinois, USA also in 1909. I have more info to share if you can show me your possible connection to this line.

One of my ancestors was Robert Purdie of County Antrim-possibly from Ballymena-who came to Glasgow with his family and died there of typhus in the 1860s. He was a journeyman shoemaker, and was probably a generation older than the man you are researching. Have you tracked down anything about the Purdies in Ballymena?

Rosemary

Robert Purdie and Elizabeth Martin are in my direct line of ancestry. Their daughter Jane married Archibald Meechan in Glasgow in 1865. By that time, her mother Elizabeth Martin had died. However, her father Robert died of typhus in 1869 - he was a journeyman shoemaker. Witnesses at Jane's wedding included William and Elizabeth Purdie.
Can you shed any more light on the family, please?

Purdy/Purdie ancestors

Looking for information re family of my grandmother Sarah Lucy (Sadie) Purdy/Purdie b. Sept. 7, 1877 d. Tallapoosa County, AL Oct. 8, 1961. Her father was John Henry Purdy/Purdie and her mother was Kizzie Thompson (possibly Kizzie short for Keziah). I know she had at least two brothers who returned to Texas where they were apparently from. Any lead would be appreciated.
