Hello, I am doing a genealogy on the Purdy family which was orginally traced backed to 1748 in England. My great aunt was a member of the DAR and had the family tree traced. I have not been able to find a copy of the tree so I a now doing it for myself. A family farm was owned and Franklin Purdy had the four Purdy Girls, Mary, Frances, Gussie and Jennie. I was told they were related to Benjamin Franklin, thus my Great Grandfathers name. His brother was Benjamin Purdy both named after Ben. Franklin. If you have any further info,please let me know and if they were related to the CT. Purdy's. They were also related to the people of Purdy Junction in NY. THanks a million, Pat
