Hi,

I'm looking for the family of John H. Purman who was born in and around 1841 in Illinois. John first married Mary Sheets in McDonough County on 10/18/1860. He was enlisted as a union soldier and was mustered in there in McDonough County. I don't know if he and Mary had any children before the war.

I do not know what happened to Mary. John married Lydia J Drake (born in PA) in 1869. They had three children listed on the 1880 Canton, Fulton County IL Census as Ollie M. Purman <1872>, Mary A. Purman <1874>, and John H.(A.)Purman.

I have some other information but need to know if anyone knows who John's parents or brothers and sisters may be.

Also if anybody knows what happened to Mary Sheets, I'd appreciate the information.
