Reuben Pursell, age 69-6-24, died in Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, April 20, 1898. Survived by his wife and six children: sons, James, Ross and Henry Pursell; daughters, Lizzie Pursell, Mrs. Wenck and Mrs. Peters. Burial on Saturday, April 23, 1898, at the Lewisburg Cemetery.

Note: A separate one-sentence death notice published on the same day incorrectly spelled Reuben's last name "Purcell".
