I am looking for the parents of this man.
Born in 1746 somewhere in Scotland.
Came to Charleston, South Carolina in 1765.
Married Eliza Ann PRITCHARD in 1775.
Had 9 children. One of which was John Jr.

My liniage:

John Jr. was born 1777 in Edgefield, SC.
He married Elizabeth LOVETT in Madison, AL in 1819.
One of their sons was James Morgan PURVES, born 6 Jan 1826.

James Morgan married Mary Ann PARKER 27 Mar 1844.
Their son, Benjamin Franklin PURVIS, was born 29 Jul 1849.

Benjamin Franklin married Anna Margarett Jones (Doole).
The name Doole was from a previous marraige.
Their son George Wesley PURVIS, born 21 Jul 1872, is my
Great Grandfather, and of course since I am the "III",
his son's name was Barney Byron PURVIS, born 24 DEC 1908.
